2008 Presidential Dollar Proof Set
The 2008 Presidential Dollar Proof Set was released prior to the full annual proof set. It contained only the four 2008 Presidential Dollars struck in proof quality at the San Francisco Mint. The Presidents honored included: James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren.The separate Presidential Dollar Proof Set has been issued since the start of the series for collectors who only want the proof Presidential Dollars each year, or would like to have them before the full annual silver proof set is released.
